Overview
Assemble is a marketing and communications firm that works with campaigns, companies, issue advocacy groups, and labor unions. We are searching for a senior associate to join our digital advocacy team to work on our slate of corporate and issue based work.
About You
In this position, you’ll work primarily on our clients’ advocacy programs. You’ll play a critical role for clients who are doing meaningful work to drive grassroots actions, such as contacting lawmakers, regulators, stakeholders, and other decision makers. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, a strong writer, experienced with digital advocacy platforms and customer relationship managers, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Project manage digital advocacy campaigns from start to finish, working with our ads, creative, and issue advocacy teams to take a campaign from concept to execution
- Draft messaging and copy for emails, online advertisements, landing pages, and other content as required
- Manage production of emails, landing pages, and other technical platforms, including coding, testing, segmentation and database maintenance
- Manage platforms such as EveryAction, Constant Contact, Action Network, Speak4, and others as required
- Work closely with the ads and creative teams to track results, provide insight, and adjust campaigns accordingly
- Produce regular reporting on key metrics
- Communicate directly with clients and manage client relationships
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience.
- Experience running digital advocacy campaigns for issue-based campaigns, organizations, corporations, or similar.
- Experience with advocacy platforms such as Speak4, Quorum, EveryAction, AdvocacyAI, New/Mode, or similar.
- Strong writing skills, along with ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to quickly draft content that is relevant to emerging trends and news moments.
- Experience working in a collaborative writing environment — you’ve had your work edited before and are able to incorporate feedback into future work.
- High attention to detail — because your work will instantly be viewed by hundreds of thousands of people, you know how to avoid typos and broken links.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines and anticipate upcoming needs.
- Email and website production experience: The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of HTML and can find their way around a CRM and CMS.
- Agency experience or client management experience is preferred.
Compensation
- Salary: $65,000-$85,000/year commensurate with experience
