Overview
Assemble is a leading digital-first media and public affairs firm that works with candidates, labor unions, companies, and non-profit organizations across the country to shape public opinion and mobilize communities, stakeholders, and supporters. We are looking for a Strategist to support our Elections and Labor sector work through the 2026 Elections.
Role
As a Strategist, you’ll help execute day-to-day program work across elections, labor, and advocacy clients. You’ll own discrete tasks and deliverables, collaborate closely with senior team members, and help manage important projects for our clients. Your work will span drafting and editing content, research and reporting, and coordinating with internal teams to support digital persuasion, grassroots fundraising, and mobilization campaign work. This position will end November 15, 2026.
Core Areas of Focus
- Campaigns & Elections: Support planning and execution of digital strategies for voter persuasion, grassroots fundraising, and social media.
- Labor Movement: Support labor union clients with organizing, political, and advocacy projects.
- Client Services: Serve as a supporting point of contact on assigned accounts; ensure deliverables align with client goals.
- Project Coordination: Track tasks, timelines, and reviews across internal teams to keep projects on schedule.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct issue, audience, and competitive research; summarize findings and surface insights.
Responsibilities
- Execute assigned workstreams within client accounts and collaborate with service teams on deliverables.
- Communicate with clients on deliverables, deadlines and approvals.
- Draft, edit, and format client-facing materials (memos, decks, reports, ads, organic content).
- Maintain project trackers and schedules; communicate updates to senior members of the team.
- Pull performance data and compile reports with analysis
- Contribute ideas, political/policy awareness, and on-the-ground insights to strengthen campaigns.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience with political campaigns, labor unions, advocacy, or related communications/digital roles.
- Strong writing and editing skills with samples across platforms (email, social, ads).
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate reviews across teams.
- Familiarity with digital persuasion, grassroots fundraising, and advocacy tactics (e.g., list building, SMS, paid social).
- Client-service mindset with clear, professional communication.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships.
Compensation
Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000
